The benefits of working for EllisDon
They go beyond the average benefit package
When you clicked on “Benefits” you most likely were expecting to read about EllisDon's benefit package. And we don’t want to disappoint you.
Benefits Canada magazine recently named EllisDon as having one of Canada’s 30 Best Pension and Benefit Plans. To receive this kind of recognition we work hard at ensuring that our benefit program remains competitive and attractive. We do this by conducting regular reviews of our program, tracking competitor programs, and working closely with our service providers to stay abreast of benefit changes in the market place.
Another great feature of our benefits package is its capability for customization. Because the program is flexible and unique, it may not be the exact same for each employee. For example, we don’t have a fixed cap on our tuition reimbursement program, rather we invest in what is right for a particular employee and the company.
We think there are many benefits to working at EllisDon that don’t necessarily fit under any specific benefit package. Here are a few of them:
- Mentoring – you can have a mentor or be a mentor, the choice is yours.
- EllisDon University - you can attend or lead EllisDon University sessions, where you can increase your knowledge and network with people you don't get to see everyday on the job.
- Edgebuilder – you can tap into this knowledge network whenever you need to.
- ED Intranet – at any time you can connect with and learn from others through the company intranet.
- Signature Projects – chances are you will be given the opportunity to work on signature projects that shape communities and skylines across the country
- Entrepreneurial Spirit – A culture where choice and opportunity empower you to do incredible things, where your initiative matters, where your suggestions count and where at the end of the day you make a difference.
- Friendship and Camaraderie – although our package and resources like EDu and Mentoring are tangible benefits, there exists also that indefinable vibe, that sort of "everyone knows your name" type feeling, whether in the office or on-site. How do you explain how or why people really love what they do? It can perhaps be explained by the fact that we celebrate everything from project wins to our employees' birthdays. Or the fact that you really can just email and phone, or even just walk right into the office of, our President and have a chat, just as easily as you would your peer. In fact, the President is your peer. But you don't need to believe us, why don't you come on over and see for yourself?
