Articulated Bus Garage

EllisDon Ottawa has been awarded the OC Transpo Articulated Bus Facility Phase II.

The facility will be comprised of two buildings. The first one will be a one-storey, 110,000 square foot maintenance garage for the servicing and repair of the OC Transpo bus fleet. The second will be a 10,500 square foot two-storey operations building for the dispatching of buses. The site also comprises an outside bus parking area, equipped with a complex electrical system to keep the 132 buses warm during the winter.

The structural steel maintenance building, with room to service 40 articulated buses, includes vehicle hoists, process piping and a tank farm for oil, fuel and maintenance fluids.

This project is targeted for LEED Silver Status.
