The United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.), as the crossroad site where the West and Far East meet, is flourishing as the leading business and commercial hub in the Middle East.

It’s in this strategic location that EllisDon is putting down roots and making itself known. With two regional offices, located in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, EllisDon is providing Project Management services on a number of exciting projects that together total over $2 billion worth of construction. These projects include ten residential towers on the Golden Mile of the Palm Jumeirah, a community for 200,000 residents of Dubai called Jumeirah Village, and the Zayed Sports City Medical Center.

Where other construction companies struggle to gain a foothold, EllisDon is thriving. In a mere 30 months we went from having a single person to over 250 full time people in the U.A.E. This accomplishment would be impressive enough on its own, but when you consider the transient nature of the workforce in this region, and the fact that most of these people are the same employees that started with us, the fact is very remarkable indeed, and something we are quite proud of.

We believe our success in this area of the world is in part due to our way of thinking about our clients, our projects and our own people.  We bring a great deal of personal integrity and pride to every project. When we take on a project we take it on as if it’s our own building and we’re personally invested to deliver the client’s vision.

Since starting out in the region, we’ve become one of the largest and most well respected construction companies in the area. In fact, word of our successful accomplishments in the U.A.E. is spreading fast and generating interest further east. We are currently exploring a number of exciting opportunities in China and India.

As the source of groundbreaking projects and record growth, there is no doubt that the U.A.E. and its role in the East is extremely important; and EllisDon looks forward to growing with it.
