Vancouver General Hospital

EllisDon Vancouver has been awarded a lump sum contract with The Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.

The hospital  is upgrading an MRI scanning unit at the Vancouver General Hospital.  A 236m2 area of the existing radiology ward is being demolished to make room for a new MRI open equipment room and magnetic shielding.  Existing footings will be underpinned and foundation expanded to support the new MRI equipment loads.  Included in the renovation is the tenant improvement of several small office spaces, mechanical service re-routing and new electrical work.

The project will begin February 1, 2010 and is expected to be completed May 31, 2010.
