EllisDon is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Jacobs to the role of Vice-President of Technical Services, Civil.“Joining EllisDon means that I am now part of an exceptional company,” said Steve Jacobs, VP Technical Services, Civil. “The culture is very people oriented, the staff are very motivated to deliver for our clients, and everyone demonstrates great team behaviour.”In his role, Steve’s responsibilities will span several areas including Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), Construction Sciences and Design Management, with primary focus on Scheduling where he will have full responsibility of Civil scheduling activities. Steve will also work closely our VDC and Construction Sciences leaders to ensure Civil operations are effective and efficient in providing leadership and support to these two groups as our multitude of projects continues to grow. As part of his mandate Steve will also work with the Civil Senior Management group to improve our delivery on our increasingly large and complex Design Build projects.Steve joins EllisDon with over 32 years of experience in the Civil Consulting Engineering industry in Canada. His work includes engineering studies, planning, design and construction. Steve has extensive experience in P3 project development and has worked closely with Infrastructure Ontario, as well as with other agencies who procure major infrastructure projects using alternative delivery. Steve holds Professional Engineering licenses in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
