Emaar Properties has awarded the programme management contract for Dubai Hills Estate to EllisDon.As part of the deal, EllisDon will oversee the delivery of the development, which at 11ha, looks set to become one of the largest neighbourhoods in the UAE.Dubai Hills Estate is being jointly developed by Emaar Properties and Meraas Holding. The integrated, master-planned development will feature gated villa communities, a commercial centre, high-end retail outlets, and both low- and mid-rise residences.The project will also include hotels and serviced apartments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, mosques, and an 18-hole championship golf course.Commenting on the project, Daniel Murphy, vice president at EllisDon, said "EllisDon is proud to announce its latest project win with Emaar's Dubai Hills. We plan to take a very practical approach to the delivery of this project and our services."Wissam Ayoub, vice president at EllisDon, added "We are committed to working with Emaar and other project stakeholders to ensure that the project is efficiently delivered and that we are not just creating another layer of bureaucracy."The Dubai Hills Estate deal is the latest in a string of GCC contracts secured by EllisDon. The firm has also been enlisted in a project management capacity at Commercial Boulevard in Lusail, Qatar, and Aldar’s Ansam residential project in Abu Dhabi, UAE.“EllisDon is proving again that its result-oriented approach to project delivery is gaining traction with major regional clients,” the company noted in a statement released to the press.“EllisDon’s roots as a general contractor ensure that it brings a practical-minded view to the delivery of projects.
