Sustainable building practice is here to stay
And EllisDon is committed to being a leader in the field
The push to “go green” has never been more pronounced. It is at the forefront of everyone’s mind. The quality of our environment and our quality of life depend on it. That’s why, at EllisDon, we’re applying all of our experience and knowledge in construction to become good at sustainable building…really good.
3rd party certifications such as LEED
®, Green Globes, and BOMA Go Green, are a satisfying acknowledgement of our ability to build to the best possible sustainability standards. We have successfully helped many of our clients achieve certification while still meeting demanding project timelines and budgets.
We have a growing number of LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) in-house who can support an integrated design and construction team on the path to green building certification. We promote sustainable building practice through encouraging all of our employees to become LEED Accredited and supporting them through the process.
There is no doubt sustainable building has its hurdles. Doing things right isn’t always the easiest. What’s important is to start with realistic targets that are set by working with owners and the design team during the preconstruction phase.
The key to a well managed sustainable building project is a great deal of cooperation from everyone involved. Sustainable Building isn’t a one man show. It starts with open dialogue and lots of teamwork. These are things the EllisDon team values and supports.
If you want a LEED Platinum building, EllisDon can help you get there. No matter what your sustainable building goals, our team is available as a valuable knowledge resource so that we can help you transform good intentions into powerful actions.
