Diriyah North District

The Story

Two major giga-projects within Saudi Arabia’s historic Diriyah region, the Qurain Cultural District and Wadi Safar District, collectively known as the Diriyah North District, represent a significant milestone in the country’s Vision 2030 initiative. Both developments are part of the wider Diriyah Gate masterplan adjacent to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif.

EllisDon is providing Project and Commercial Management Services for both districts, ensuring seamless delivery of these high-profile developments.

Qurain Cultural District

Covering 7 square kilometres, Qurain Cultural District will serve as a hub for arts, heritage, and urban living. EllisDon’s scope includes managing: 

• Digital Arts Museums and cultural academies, such as the Theatre Academy, Najdi Architecture Academy, and Arab School of Music
• Mixed-use spaces featuring retail, offices, residences, and boutique dining 
• Luxury hospitality offerings, including the Ritz-Carlton Diriyah with 195 rooms and 165 branded residences, and the Address Diriyah with 204 rooms and 60 serviced apartments 
• A dynamic arts district with galleries, artist studios, and a Mud Brick Cinema

Wadi Safar District

Spanning 62 square kilometres, Wadi Safar District is designed as an exclusive enclave for hospitality and lifestyle. EllisDon’s role covers delivery oversight for:

• Ultra-luxury hotels and branded residences, such as Aman, Six Senses, The Chedi, and Faena
• The Royal Diriyah Equestrian & Polo Club with stables for 180 horses, premier polo fields, and VIP amenities 
• A 27-hole championship golf course designed by Greg Norman, complete with a golf academy and clubhouse 
• Retail and leisure spaces integrated into the natural landscape
