The Story

Located in Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island Cultural District, the Natural History Museum will be a landmark destination featuring immersive exhibits, natural history specimens, and interactive environments from the region and beyond. Visitors will explore permanent and rotating galleries, an immersive theatre, a children’s gallery, and potentially a research facility—all anchored by a central atrium.

The museum’s design emphasizes high-quality architecture and landscape integration, aligning with the district’s cultural icons like the Louvre and Guggenheim. The project aims to create a vibrant civic space that blends education, entertainment, and global heritage in a cohesive, inspiring setting.

BIM & VDC Services

EllisDon provided end-to-end BIM consultancy and supervision on behalf of the client, leveraging BIM as a central project management platform across all phases. Our team led design management to ensure model integrity, coordination, and constructability from concept through detailed design. During execution, we delivered construction supervision driven by data-rich models, enabling proactive clash resolution, progress tracking, and quality control. The engagement concluded with a structured handover to operations, transitioning a fully validated digital asset to support lifecycle facility management.
