The Story

Located in Saadiyat Cultural District, TeamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi will be one of only three such destinations in the world, alongside its sister locations in Tokyo and Shanghai. Created by the internationally acclaimed Japanese art collective teamLab, it spans 17,000 square meters, making it one of the largest digital art museums in the world. An immersive experiential journey. Digital, physical art, nature, and technology merge seamlessly into an ever changing, multi-sensory realm. Responsive lighting, environmental effects, and spatial audio react in real time to each visitor’s presence, ensuring no two journeys are ever the same.

BIM & VDC Services

EllisDon was appointed as the client's BIM consultant and supervisor on TeamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, embedding our team on the ground to deploy and operationalize BIM as the project's central management platform. Working side by side with the client, consultants, designers, and contractors, we drove the implementation of BIM standards, workflows, and common data environments across all disciplines. Our design management role ensured seamless coordination between stakeholders, safeguarding model integrity, constructability, and alignment with project objectives from concept through detailed design. Through hands-on collaboration and continuous engagement with every project party, we transformed BIM from a technical requirement into a shared delivery framework that enhanced transparency, decision-making, and accountability across the project lifecycle.
