EKO Platform Receives LenelS2 Factory Certification
The EKO OnGuard Extension interfaces with LenelS2’s OnGuard access control security system
Mississauga, ON, August 13, 2025 — EllisDon Corporation’s Energy & Digital Services department announces it has received LenelS2 factory certification and joined the LenelS2 OpenAccess Alliance Program (OAAP). This milestone will support the communications capabilities of the EKO platform through the EKO OnGuard Extension interface. This will enable bi-directional communication, allowing the EKO framework to consume events from the LenelS2 OnGuard system, as well as publish events back into OnGuard. This ensures a near real-time state for seamless interoperability.
EllisDon’s EKO platform creates a virtual “living” replica of the built environment by seamlessly integrating data from all primary building systems, customer-facing systems, the building information model (BIM) and the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). By integrating all data points, EKO becomes a platform that aggregates, organizes and applies AI models to the data. EKO then automatically provides users with information, insights and tools to help enhance their workflows.
“EllisDon has completed required factory testing at LenelS2 to validate the functionality of its interface to the OnGuard system. With EKO OnGuard Extension, external systems events can be published directly to the OnGuard Event Monitor, including real-time locating system (RTLS) events, fire alarm events, leak detection system events, electrical system events, and more,” said John Marchioli, OAAP product management, LenelS2. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the LenelS2 OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
“By interfacing with the OnGuard Event API, EKO OnGuard Extension incorporates OnGuard events into EKO’s comprehensive smart building control logic and advanced message escalation workflows,” states Robert Barnes, Senior Vice President, Energy & Digital Services, EllisDon. “This makes OnGuard Events available for use within our customers’ workflows and use cases, thereby improving their operations and the overall experience within the built environment.”
