Irving Oil Home Office Project Supports Bobby's Hospice

Our communities are much more than places where we build. We always strive to leave behind not only a successful project, but in a more prosperous environment. We are thrilled to share that last week, the Irving Oil Home Office project presented a cheque for over $32,000 to Hospice of Greater Saint John. The fundraiser started at the beginning of the FCC EllisDon Joint Venture Irving Home Office building project in 2016. Bobby’s Hospice was the selected recipient due to a few members of the team who had recently seen the exceptional palliative care that was provided to a family member. The Joint Venture decided to start weekly 50/50 fundraisers on site, and during the peak of the work, there were an estimated 400 plus contractors and subcontractors on site who continued to purchase tickets each week. The Joint Venture wished to increase the donation, and with Irving Oil’s support they were able to donate all the money received for the recycled metal from the Home Office.Irving Oil heard the great news and donated an additional $5,000. Scholten’s Landscaping also kindly donated $100.Thank you to all contractors and subcontractors who supported this great cause from the ground up, and to Irving Oil and Scholten's Landscaping for their generous donations.
