The Story
Phase 1 at Brentwood Town Centre is a high profile, mixed use and transit-oriented redevelopment located in north Burnaby, BC. This new development showcases an extensive mall expansion and is one of the largest redevelopment projects of its kind in North America. This development will contain premium retail shops accompanied by world-class amenities ranging from restaurants to entertainment and unique public spaces. At the completion of Phase 1 (schedule for October 2018), the new development will include a 1,200,000 square foot Brentwood Town Centre Shopping Mall which includes the renovation of the existing 500,000 SF Brentwood Mall.

Prior to starting construction, EllisDon was engaged from 2011 to 2013 by Shape Properties Corporation to provide design assist/pre- construction services for the entire, multi-phased 6.4 million SF mixed-use development. Upon successful completion of the pre-construction services assignment, EllisDon was awarded the Construction Management contract for Phase 1.
