The Story

EllisDon and their joint venture partner Kinetic Construction have partnered once more on the provision of construction management services for the final phase of the Fleet Maintenance Facility modernization at Cape Breton, Esquimalt on Vancouver Island.

This $173 million contract includes pre-construction and construction phase services for the new construction, fit-up, renovation, deconstruction and site decontamination, all to be carried out while regular operations continue at the maintenance facility. The aim of the overall project is to replace and renovate antiquated, outdated and deficient industrial facilities (totaling 370,000 SF), so as to enable a fundamentally critical transformation and modernization of the naval shipyard maintenance facility.
