Mississauga, ON, March 10, 2022 — ED+PCL Healthcare Partners are pleased to announce that they have recently signed a Development Phase Agreement (DPA) with Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Trillium Health Partners (THP) for The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital project.

The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital project is being delivered using a progressive public-private partnership approach which fosters a collaborative development of project requirements, design, pricing, schedule, and risk management. ED+PCL Healthcare Partners will work collaboratively with IO and THP under the Development Phase Agreement, as well as with the Ministry of Health, to continue to advance the project development. Once the development phase is complete, it is expected that ED+PCL Healthcare partners will enter a fixed-price agreement with THP to design, build, finance, and maintain the project.

The ED+PCL Healthcare Partners consortium is comprised of:

• Construction Prime Team Member: a joint venture featuring EllisDon and PCL Constructors Canada Inc.
• Facilities Management Prime Team Member: EllisDon Facilities Services

• Structural Consultant: Stephenson Engineering Inc. and Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd.
• Mechanical Consultant: H.H. Angus & Associates Limited Consulting Engineers and Smith+Andersen

The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital will allow THP to better respond to future health care challenges and will feature modern hospital facilities and technology that reflect the latest standards in infection prevention and control. Set to fully replace the existing Mississauga Hospital, the new hospital will include advanced diagnostic imaging facilities, a new pharmacy and clinical laboratory as well as an expanded emergency department; slated to be one of the largest in the province.
