We are excited to announce that a group of our digital project delivery team at EllisDon have achieved certification at the Foundation level with buildingSMART Canada. This is a significant achievement as EllisDon is one of the first groups in Canada to achieve this certification, with the first wave consisting of approximately 30 people.

BuildingSMART International (bSI) is a worldwide industry body that is driving the digital transformation of the built asset industry. Additionally, the program supports openBIM® training standardization, promotes international standards and best practices, and raises awareness about buildingSMART and its solutions.

Moreover, buildingSMART Canada (bSC) offers the only internationally recognized BIM competency benchmark in Canada. Those who are certified will be added to the international Online registry of certified individuals (if they want to, it is optional). Certified individuals are now allowed to display the buildingSMART badge as proof of their certification.
