Championing Youth Mental Health in South Surrey
Surrey Now-Leader highlighted the eighth annual Champion of the Crescent paddleboard fundraiser at Blackie Spit in South Surrey, where more than 25 teams came together in support of youth mental health programs across the South Fraser region. Presented by EllisDon, the event raised more than $213,500 for critical initiatives, including the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Stabilization Unit, the Adolescent Day Treatment Program, and the Adolescent Psychiatric Unit.
Ground Broken on Windsor-Essex’s New Acute Care Hospital
CTV News Windsor reported on the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fancsy Family Hospital, marking the official start of construction on one of the region’s most significant healthcare infrastructure projects. EllisDon has been selected as construction manager for Phase 1 of the multi-phase development and has already begun preparing the site through enabling works, including trailers, hoarding, fencing, utilities, and other key infrastructure. The first phase will deliver a three-storey Education and Administrative Centre, simulation centre, a 700-vehicle parking garage, and supporting site services.
Ontario Place Redevelopment Advances with EllisDon
ReNew Canada announced that Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Tourism, Gaming and Culture have awarded EllisDon Civil the construction management contract for the public realm component of the Ontario Place redevelopment. Following a competitive procurement process, EllisDon was selected based on its construction expertise, project experience, personnel qualifications, and capacity to deliver a project of significant scale and complexity. The scope of work includes enhanced public spaces, expanded waterfront access, restoration and improvement of the shoreline, and extensive landscaping and site development features designed to improve the visitor experience. Construction is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with the public realm works targeted for completion in 2030.
Progress Continues at South Niagara Hospital
