The Story

Set to redefine open-air entertainment in Vancouver, the Freedom Mobile Arch will bring a world-class venue to the heart of Playland at the Pacific National Exhibition. Designed to host 10,000 guests, the space will feature fixed seating, VIP boxes and suites, lawn seating, and a record-breaking mass timber canopy—the largest clear span of its kind globally.

Supporting infrastructure includes a back-of-house building with 28 VIP boxes, premium suites, guest amenities, and three concession buildings. The project targets LEED Gold, Zero Carbon Building – Design, Salmon Safe, and Rick Hansen certifications, with a goal of 40% embodied carbon reduction and a fully gas-free operation. Demolition of the existing amphitheatre and surrounding structures will make way for this landmark venue.
