EllisDon Achieves Substantial Completion on David E. Kampe Tower at Penticton Regional Hospital

Mississauga, ON, December 19, 2018— EllisDon Infrastructure presented Interior Health with the keys to the David E. Kampe Tower on December 15, signifying substantial completion of the tower at Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH)."This milestone marks an important step in the long-term partnership between EllisDon and Interior Health," said Ben Deeley, Vice-President, EllisDon Capital. "This is the end of the first phase of construction, and the beginning of a 30-year partnership that will see the residents of Penticton and the South Okanagan receive care in a state-of-the-art facility."





PRH provides secondary and specialized acute care for patients living in South Okanagan and surrounding communities. The new tower six-storey tower will bring PRH up to a modern standard of care by providing ambulatory care, surgical services, 84 inpatient beds in single-patient rooms, a new medical device reprocessing unit, space for the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Medicine and a roof-top heliport.In 2016 EllisDon Infrastructure was awarded the contract by Interior Health to design, build, partially finance, and maintain the David E. Kampe Tower. EllisDon Facilities Services Inc. will provide facilities maintenance services at PRH for a 30-year period.The hospital is slated to be open for the public in April 2019.Read the full press release HERE
