Halifax, June 14, 2016 – As part of the first of four EllisDon Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia Adopt-A-Days, EllisDon Maritimes helped build a home for a local Halifax family, and donated $10,000 to give other local families access to affordable housing. On Tuesday, nine EllisDon employees from the Halifax office and sites stepped up and built the exterior walls of the latest Habitat for Humanity NS build site. “The weather wasn’t the best but the team spirit on our 1st of 4 Adopt-A-Day with Habitat for Humanity NS was undeniable!” said Twyla Munden, Project Coordinator for EllisDon’s Nova Centre project. “With a crew ranging from no experience (like me) to hands on builders, we gave it our all and had fun with it.”EllisDon Maritimes looks forward to continuing work on their three future Adopt-A-Days, July 26, August 23, and September 13.
