EllisDon Selected for Major Role in Royal Canadian Air Force’s Future Aircrew Training Program

EllisDon has been appointed as the primary infrastructure design partner supporting SkyAlyne in the Royal Canadian Air Force's Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. This milestone agreement marks a new chapter in our company’s commitment to advancing Canada’s defence capabilities and reflects our passion for supporting the next generation of military leaders.

As part of one of the largest and most important defence training initiatives in Canadian history, EllisDon will design state-of-the-art infrastructure at key RCAF bases: 15 Wing Moose Jaw (Saskatchewan), Southport (Manitoba), and 17 Wing Winnipeg (Manitoba). These facilities will empower RCAF Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers (ACSOs), and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators (AES Ops) with world-class training environments for decades to come.

We are especially proud that our expertise in delivering complex, mission-critical projects is being recognized as foundational to the success of the FAcT program. This partnership is more than just a project—it’s EllisDon’s chance to set new standards for defence infrastructure and help shape the future of Canadian military readiness and innovation.

What This Means for the Future

  • Solidifies EllisDon’s position as a leader in defence industry infrastructure across Canada.
  • Paves the way for new opportunities to support the modernization and resilience of Canada’s Armed Forces.
  • Demonstrates our commitment to creating innovative, sustainable environments that will serve the RCAF for the next 25 years and beyond.

“The FAcT program is an extraordinary opportunity—not just for EllisDon, but for the future of Canadian defence infrastructure. We are honored to bring our expertise to this vital national project and excited to collaborate with SkyAlyne and the RCAF. By delivering cutting-edge, future-ready facilities, we’re reinforcing our commitment to excellence, innovation, and the security of Canada’s skies for generations to come,” said Christopher Lane, Senior Vice President and Area Manager, Edmonton, EllisDon.

We look forward to sharing our progress as we embark on this important journey. Thank you to the entire EllisDon team and our partners for their dedication, vision, and leadership.
