Four EllisDon projects in British Columbia have been recognized with Silver Awards at the Vancouver Regional Construction Association's (VRCA) 2026 Awards of Excellence, one of the province's most respected construction industry awards programs.

The awards recognize excellence in construction and project delivery across the region.

EllisDon's 2026 Silver Award winners are:

General Contractor (Project Value Over $50 Million)

  • Royal Columbian Hospital Redevelopment Phase 2
  • Burnaby Hospital Redevelopment

General Contractor (Project Value Up to $20 Million)

  • University of British Columbia Urgent Primary Care Centre (UPCC)
  • Surrey Memorial Hospital Cath Lab

"What makes this recognition especially meaningful is the level of complexity involved in each of these projects," said Craig Enns, Senior Vice President and Area Manager, British Columbia. "Our teams worked in environments where patient care, research, and learning could not stop. Successfully delivering that work required adaptability, trust, and a shared commitment from everyone involved. It's rewarding to see those efforts recognized by the industry."

The four award-winning projects span major hospital redevelopments and community healthcare facilities, reflecting EllisDon's continued commitment to delivering complex infrastructure that meets the evolving needs of the province.

From expanding healthcare capacity to improving access to urgent and specialized care, these projects are helping create spaces that will serve British Columbians for years to come.

All four projects will now advance as finalists for Gold Awards, which will be announced at the VRCA Awards of Excellence Gala on October 16.

Congratulations to our project teams, clients, and partners on this outstanding achievement.
