EllisDon Team Comes Together for Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer

For more than a decade, EllisDon employees have participated in the Princess Margaret Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer tournament, combining friendly competition with a shared commitment to supporting cancer research. This year's event continued that tradition, with approximately 22 EllisDon employees participating across two teams and EllisDon supporting the tournament as a sponsor. Together with hundreds of participants and organizations from across the industry, the teams helped raise funds for cancer research, support innovative care, and make a meaningful impact in communities affected by cancer.

This year's tournament raised a record-breaking $3.7 million for cancer research, while EllisDon participants helped the company secure a place among the top fundraising teams. Long-time participant and team captainAndrea Quadrini, Senior Project Manager, EllisDon, was also recognized as one of the event's top fundraisers, finishing third among nearly 1,900 participants.

Among the many EllisDon employees involved, Andrea has been a driving force behind the initiative for more than 14 years. What began as a challenge outside her comfort zone has grown into a longstanding commitment to fundraising and participation. Over the years, she has helped raise more than $1.2 million through the event while helping expand EllisDon's involvement and support for the tournament.

“The fundraising milestones are something I'm proud of, but what stays with me most are the people,”said Andrea. “Year after year, colleagues, friends, and industry partners come together to support one another and a cause that touches so many lives. Being part of that is incredibly rewarding."

As the teams look ahead to next year's tournament, they remain committed to continuing the tradition while supporting vital cancer research through fundraising, participation, and community involvement.
