The Story

A model for rapid, community-focused housing, the Baseline Road project delivered a four-storey, 61-unit residential building offering a mix of affordable and market-rate rentals. Designed to support individuals at risk of homelessness, the development includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, along with shared support spaces on each floor.

As the first project completed under the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation’s Rapid Housing Initiative, it demonstrates how collaborative delivery can meet urgent housing needs. The building is ideally located near essential services and transit, and features integrated security, in-suite wireless panels, and a converged network that supports building operations efficiently.
