The Story

The Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre is a testament to the innovation that EllisDon strives for. Incorporated in the building’s elegant design is a mass-timber undulating roof. Not only does it check the boxes for sustainability, but it’s beautiful to look at. The complex and curved roof rises to suit the height required for the 10-metre competition high-dive tower at one end of the building and at the same time, provides direct views into the various pools from the road and sidewalk. A highlight of the project; the construction of a FINA Certified 50m competition venue pool tank, that adjusts in depth. Inclusive in the build is also the addition of competition diving towers, lifestyle pool, hot pool, steam and sauna rooms, amenities and a fitness centre.
