MTO Highway Service Centres

The Story

This large-scale infrastructure initiative involved the design and construction of 20 new service centres across Ontario’s 400-series highways, each ranging from 9,000 to 22,000 square feet. The centres offer a range of amenities including quick-service dining, coffee shops, convenience retail, fuel services, enhanced truck facilities, tourism information, and fully accessible washrooms for families and individuals with disabilities. Each site was equipped with either municipal service extensions or on-site wastewater treatment systems, ensuring reliable and sustainable operations across the network.
