Union Pearson Express - Flagship Station Platform and Waiting Lounge

The Story

Seamlessly integrated into Toronto’s PATH network and adjacent to Union Station, this flagship station redefines commuter experience with a modern platform and waiting lounge. Delivered in four phases, the project included high-end interior finishes, mechanical and electrical systems, and a pedestrian promenade. A standout feature is the Platform Edge Protection System (PEPS), which syncs automatic sliding doors with custom diesel train doors for safe, efficient boarding. Emergency egress doors and a temporary structural support system ensured safety and continuity throughout construction.
