Pan/Am Games Athletes Village

The Story 

Built by a consortium led by EllisDon and Infrastructure Ontario, the Pan Am Athlete’s Village was home to over 10,000 athletes and officials from 41 countries during the 2015 Pan/Para Pan Am Games. The project consisted of seven new high-rise buildings spanning from conditioning areas, a 25-metre pool, game rooms and various office and meeting spaces, all aligning to the stringent requirements of the Olympic Committee. Since the games, the village is now known as the Canary District in Toronto, featuring residential condominiums and health and wellness focused retail, as well as George Brown College’s first student residence.
