Giving Together – Celebrating our Community Champions
This summer, area offices across EllisDon came together to host a series of impactful charity events. Thanks to the dedication of our teams and the generosity of participants, we’re proud to support a range of programs and organizations that make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
Here’s how our teams helped drive change in their communities:
- Halifax’s tournament raised over $55,000 for the Izaak Walton Killam Foundation, amounting to $15,000 more than last year!
- The Ottawa office held two fundraisers over the summer:
- The Seventh Annual EllisDon Ottawa Charity Golf Tournament, raising $200,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO); and
- A Drag Show/Bingo Fundraiser, which raised $2000 for Kind Space, a community centre in Ottawa open to 2SLGBTQ+ people of all ages.
- The Toronto office held their Second Annual Golf Tournament and raised $376,000 for the Niagara Health Foundation.
- London hosted the Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwestern Ontario. This tournament raised over $100,000.
- The Edmonton Office:
- Held the EllisDon Edmonton Subtrade Golf Tournament which raised $45,000 for The Mustard Seed, an organization dedicated to addressing homelessness and poverty;
- Sponsored the Big Brothers Big Sisters Golf Tournament which raised $100,000; and
- Raised $11,725 through individual donations for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Grand Slam Slo-pitch Tournament.
- Calgary hosted 84 different subtrade partners at their annual Subtrade Golf Tournament and raised $169,000 for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
- Vancouver hosted the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation Invitational Charity Golf Tournament and raised over $360,000 for the Foundation.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this summer’s charity events—whether by participating, volunteering, or lending support behind the scenes. Together, these efforts raised over $1.41 million for organizations working to strengthen communities across Canada. We’re proud to be part of that progress.
