The Burlington Canal Lift Bridge rehabilitation involved complete replacement of the lift span deck, reinforcement of existing steel members, and structural upgrades to approach and tower spans on a 2,200‑ton movable structure.
Through phased construction maintaining vehicular and marine operations, the project integrated complex structural retrofits and new deck systems to extend service life and meet updated loading requirements.
