The Story
Digital Realty selected EllisDon to deliver its TOR1 site, creating one of Canada’s largest wholesale colocation data centers out of a former newspaper print facility.
The facility was designed for flexible expansion and phased build-outs, with scalable configurations supporting resiliencies of N+1 and 2N. Over a six-year period EllisDon built out a total of 17 computer rooms adding required infrastructure in a phased approach, to provide a total of 56 MW of critical load. The facility achieved LEED Silver certification.
