Halifax Shopping Centre - Sears Reset, Phase I - III

The Story

Reimagining a retail anchor, the Halifax Shopping Centre – Sears Reset project transformed the former department store into a modern multi-level retail hub. Phase I included full demolition and replacement of Level 1 flooring, new elevator and stairwell openings, and base building upgrades across the first two floors. Phase II focused on Level 3, delivering a raised roof, skylights, a dedicated elevator and stepped loading dock, and new escalators connecting Levels 2 and 3 for Simons. Phase III completed the transformation with the full replacement of the 59,262 sq. ft. roof—modernizing the structure from top to bottom.
