MaRS Center - Public Health Laboratory

The Story

EllisDon delivered the fit-out of four floors at the MaRS Centre’s Public Health Laboratory in downtown Toronto for Public Health Ontario (PHO), transforming the space into a highly specialized research and diagnostic facility. The project involved the construction of a new public health laboratory, which included 100,000 square feet of CL2 laboratory space, 4,000 square feet of CL3 laboratory space, IT enabled meeting rooms, emergency response rooms, administrative and support offices, installation of laboratory casework systems and technical support rooms.

EllisDon provided technical support and isolation features including liquid effluent decontamination systems to service the CL3 lab.
