Every construction company has them: the people everyone turns to. The problem‑solvers. The steady hands. The quiet leaders who make the hard days workable, and the big wins possible.
This year, one of those EllisDon teammates was recognized on a national stage. At the 2026 Site Service Awards, presented by SiteNews, Marlene Arianna, Senior Vice President, People & Culture, was honoured for the impact she has made across her teams, projects and the communities we serve.
The Site Service Awards spotlight the individuals who keep this complex, fast‑moving industry running; celebrating not only technical expertise, but also the care, collaboration, and leadership that strengthen Canada’s construction sector from the boardroom to the jobsite. This year’s honourees from EllisDon exemplify exactly that. While each brings a different kind of leadership to the company, Marlene shares the same commitment to strengthening teams, elevating projects, and moving the industry forward.
Marlene is dedicated to building internal success at EllisDon—championing employee‑led engagement committees, launching mentorship initiatives, and overseeing career profiles that help guide employees’ growth. Her work ensures EllisDon is a place where people can build meaningful, long‑term careers.
Over more than eight years, Marlene has helped transform People & Culture into a true growth engine. Her leadership spans the full employee lifecycle for more than 4,500+ team members across Canada and internationally, covering people operations, total rewards, talent acquisition, and leadership development.
Her hallmark initiative, Leading at Scale, develops high‑potential leaders through a focus on self‑awareness, team leadership, organizational impact, and legacy. Marlene has also tackled one of the industry’s toughest challenges: talent mobility. Through the UK “Skills Mission,” she secured federal approval for more than 100 visas under a special program that accelerates hiring and bypasses lengthy LMIA processes.
Known for blending strategy with humanity, Marlene makes the employee experience measurable, scalable, and centered on people; helping redefine what leadership looks like in construction.
EllisDon congratulates Marlene on this well-earned recognition. Her contributions reflect the full range of talent that drives EllisDon’s progress and helps shape a stronger, more collaborative construction industry across Canada.
