Yesterday, EllisDon along with Interior Health and the Premier of British Columbia, the honourable Christy Clark, celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for Penticton Regional Hospital Patient Care Tower in British Columbia.Not only is this a huge P3 win for EllisDon, the third in British Columbia, but it also marks the first major addition to the hospital in 25 years. This 281,700square-foot state-of- the-art medical tower is a big feat for Interior Health and the province.The project will consist of two phases. Phase one is construction of the new patient care tower and parkade which will include an ambulatory care centre, surgical services, 84 medical/surgical inpatient beds in single patient rooms, a new medical device reprocessing unit, and space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine program.The tower will be designed and constructed to achieve LEED Gold certification.
