To the Skilled Professionals Behind EllisDon’s Every Build, Thank You
Today, on National Tradesperson Day, we pause to recognize the incredible individuals whose skill, dedication, and pride shape everything we build; and everything we stand for.
“Tradespeople bring so many specialized skills to the table. Every single role contributes to the success of the project, and the quality they deliver is second to none,” said Chuck Sims, Superintendent in Calgary.
Mathieu Souriac, a Superintendent in Montreal, said tradespeople turn technical drawings into real structures. “Without their skills, no plan could ever become reality,” Souriac said.
From electricians and carpenters to plumbers and welders, tradespeople are the backbone of our infrastructure. At EllisDon, we know that none of what we create would be possible without their expertise. Every beam, every wire, every weld carries the mark of their craftsmanship.
Across the country, EllisDon Superintendents see firsthand the impact tradespeople make every day. Below are kind words from other Superintendents from across the country.
“As a Superintendent, I see firsthand that tradespeople are the driving force behind our projects. Their skills, precision and pride in their work ensure things are done right the first time, which brings a real sense of confidence to the build.”
- McKenna Allison, Superintendent in Edmonton.
“Tradespeople provide the specialized skills and experience to build safe, durable and high-quality projects. EllisDon owes its success to all the tradespersons who show up every day to make this happen.”
- Allen Coe, Superintendent in Halifax.
“From maintaining a safe site to solving unforeseen challenges on the spot, tradespeople are deeply invested in the success of the project. Their attention to detail and commitment to getting the job done right the first time plays a direct role in reducing rework and keeping schedules on track.”
- Kevin Jerez, assistant Superintendent in Ottawa.
“Tradespeople are real-world problem solvers, translating complex design blueprints into functional and beautiful infrastructure. They help build and maintain our home, place of work, or area of play to the highest quality and safety standard for everyone to use and enjoy.”
- Gordan Fan, Superintendent in Vancouver.
The dedication described by our Superintendents is not only evident on the job site — it’s woven into the very fabric of EllisDon’s identity, shaping the company’s achievements and future. That is why, on National Tradesperson Day, EllisDon takes this opportunity to formally recognize and celebrate the tradespeople whose work makes everything possible.
“No matter the conditions, challenges or deadlines, trades men and women put in countless time to achieve success. We appreciate their efforts and commitment,” said Daniel Sousa, Superintendent in Toronto.
Tradespeople are the backbone of every EllisDon project, said Jessica Fricke, Superintendent in London. Their dedication drives quality, keeps projects on schedule and ensures a safe work environment. “Our projects simply wouldn’t be possible without them,” Fricke said.
Every EllisDon project stands as proof of what tradespeople make possible. Their skill, pride and expertise do not just build structures — they build communities, careers and futures. On National Tradesperson Day, EllisDon recognizes that its achievements are rooted in the hands and hearts of tradespeople across the country. Without them, none of it would happen.
