EllisDon’s Megan Smith Honoured for Excellence in Safety Leadership

Congratulations to Megan Smith of EllisDon’s Halifax Health, Safety, and Environment team for winning the Construction Safety Nova Scotia (CSNS) Women in Safety Leadership Award!
CSNS annually recognizes individuals and organizations who demonstrate exceptional commitment to safety in Nova Scotia’s
construction industry.

“It’s an honour to receive this award,” said Smith. “Safety is personal for me—I've had family members come very close to life-altering accidents and to me,
it’s crucial that we continue to do everything we can to ensure those serious injuries do not occur. EllisDon’s culture of care allows me to step into that
passion and execute on it every day.”

Smith delivers training programs such as Basics of Supervision and Annual Hourly Employee Health and Safety Program Training. She also organizes the
annual Truth & Reconciliation Day events, and the Women in Construction Event for the Atlantic region. She is a volunteer in various social groups, both
professionally and personally, and captains EllisDon Halifax’s Steps for Life
team.

“Megan is an inspiration to us all,” said Adam Lane, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager, Halifax, EllisDon. “From leading health and safety training
across the Atlantic region to championing mental health resources and organizing community events, her work consistently reflects a deep commitment to
education, inclusion, and community.”

Once again, we’d like to extend our heartfelt congratulations toMegan Smith on this well-deserved recognition. She truly embodies our core values and the
culture of care we nurture across the organization. This achievement celebrates individual contributions and reinforces EllisDon's collective commitment to
integrity, innovation, and making a meaningful impact in our industry and community.

EllisDon also received an honourable mention for the Workplace Mental Health Award. This distinguished award honours organizations that lead the way in
supporting mental health in the workplace. It recognizes companies that treat mental well-being with the same importance as physical health, and that have
implemented meaningful programs to foster a culture of care, resilience, and support for their employees.

Congratulations to our incredible Mental Health team and to every EllisDon employee for championing mental wellness every day. Your dedication to building
a culture of care, compassion, and resilience continues to set EllisDon apart in the construction industry. This recognition is a direct result of your
efforts—thank you for making mental health a core part of who we are.
