EllisDon delivered this 387,500 SF, 16-storey office tower in downtown Vancouver for Manulife Financial. The project is situated on a compact urban site, located on the corner of Nelson Street and Howe Street. Due to the constrained nature of the site, EllisDon was required to overcome several challenges, including limited laydown areas for material storage, traffic management along a major downtown artery, and working in close proximity to existing office and residential towers. The project was built to LEED® Gold standards and has a penthouse room that incorporates an area for photovoltaic panels. The roof areas also incorporate exterior planters and an extensive green roof system.
