The scope of work is based on the construction of a new indoor and outdoor tennis facility, which will be connected to the existing Daniel Nestor Tennis Centre in Bedford, NS. The existing facility is an air supported structure. The facility will be comprised of 6 outdoor tennis courts and a tennis hut, 6 indoor tennis courts, and supporting rooms including offices, meetings rooms, change rooms, service rooms and a viewing mezzanine. The building is one storey with a mezzanine and will be fully sprinklered. The main building will be of non-combustible construction with a 1 hour fire wall facing the existing air supported structure. The building is classified as an Assembly Occupancy, Group A, Division 3 building under the National Building Code of Canada, latest edition.
