The Story
The 35 Mic Mac Boulevard project encompasses a substantial renovation and redevelopment of an existing 140,000 sq. ft. warehouse into a 240,000 sq. ft. Class A office space, including amenity areas and a large atrium. The scope of work includes the complete demolition of the interior and exterior of the facility including the building envelope, existing slab, and mezzanine, as well as the mechanical and electrical systems.
Construction of new foundations and footings are required to accommodate structural steel for the additional second floor and the facility will also receive new mechanical, electrical and life safety systems including two escalators and an elevator. The entire exterior envelope of the building will be replaced with a unitized curtain wall system including a precast accent band at the base of the building. The project also includes the fit up of office areas and support spaces including several secure areas. This will be a secure, technologically advanced facility built to accommodate approximately 1000 workers and will provide amenities such as a state of the art fitness center, day care and cafeteria.
