The David Brayley Cardiac, Vascular and Stroke Research Institute integrated two of Hamilton Health Sciences strongest and most innovative research programs: the Population Health Research Institute and the Henderson Research Centre. The project united the existing clusters of scientists in one collaborative and integrated program. The project consisted of the construction of a six-story concrete structure, a two-storey mechanical facility at the lower level to serve the Vivarium, and a two-storey mechanical Penthouse. The building floor plate is approximately 29,000 SF with a total building gross square footage of approximately 200,000 SF.
