Project Description

The TOR1 Phase II, Power Base Building & Shell Upgrades project involves the architectural and structural conditioning of shared areas in Phase II to be up to code and allow for future fit-out of computer rooms. All general services will be installed, including Mechanical, Electrical and Fire Suppression for corridors, storage rooms, washrooms, loading areas, mechanical, and electrical rooms.

Additionally, a medium-voltage (“MV”) room and a meet-me room (“MMR”) will be added at the lower level with a busway distribution system. Two 50-kilowatt Computer Room Air Conditioner (“CRAC”) units will be installed in the MMR, with associated condensers on the roof.

This project will also include the removal of old roofing membrane and the installation of a new roof above the Digital Realty lower level and penthouse roof. A new slab will be placed in the second level where the mezzanine was previously located. In the yard, 10 equipment pads and 10 generator pads will be installed, along with their respective caissons. Also in this area, the designs call for grading and pavement work to be done around the generator pads.
