Known for delivering the most in-demand creative and media arts programming in Canada, the Owner is developing a state-of-the-art Cultural Hub (HCH) at its Lakeshore Campus. The academic portion will deliver an approximate 200,000 sq.ft facility that will improve access to education, training and engagement in arts and culture. The HCH will provide a new home for the Owner’s award-winning music, creative arts, and multimedia programs, as well as the ground-breaking Centre for Creative Business Innovation, where creative experts will partner with business and the arts to improve Canada’s economic, creative and innovation performance. The success of the new HCH will be measured in many ways. Great attention will be paid to the design and detailing of all building elements and assemblies, as it pertains to the overall quality of the end product. The project includes a recording studio, performance spaces, practice rooms, film studios, teaching spaces, music labs, and editing suites. These spaces contribute to the unique nature and complexity of this project, which requires considerable coordination, means and methods, constructability, careful sequencing and quality control throughout.
