The King Portland Centre contains 12,000 sq.ft. of retail space, a 14-storey, 255,000 sq.ft. Commercial Tower with 6,100 sq.ft. of indoor amenity space facing King Street West, and a 16-storey, 113,000 sq. ft. Residential Tower facing Adelaide Street. The project’s green features includes an energy efficient design with an underfloor air distribution system, LED lighting throughout, high performing equipment and building envelope, rainwater harvesting for irrigation and satisfying indoor plumbing demands, and electric charging stations for electric cars. Shopify and Indigo are the two main tenants in the Commercial Tower that occupies Level 6 to 14, and Indigo occupying Level 2 to 5. Three restaurants populate the ground floor retail spaces. The project is also aiming to achieve LEED Platinum Certification (Commercial Tower) and Gold Certification (Residential Tower).
