The Oakville Hospital - Solar Array project involves the installation of a new rooftop solar array structure on top of the existing parking garage at the New Oakville Hospital, which is located at 3001 Hospital Gate in Oakville, Ontario. The project contains a contract for 500 kWac under the OPA FIT program version 2.1. It also features a DC capacity of 600 kWdc. The project’s scope includes a structural steel frame mounted to the existing concrete columns on level 6 of the parking garage and the installation of 2000 solar panels. The new solar array will inject its energy into the electrical grid that is managed by Oakville Hydro. EllisDon, as the Construction Manager, will act on behalf of Halton Healthcare Services Corporation; Hatch will act as the lead consultant. EllisDon was responsible for construction management of the project.
