Place La Cité is a new interdisciplinary creativity incubators at La Cité Collégiale that provides more research and development opportunities for Ottawa students and better equip them with the skills they need for the jobs of today and tomorrow. The space is also available for community uses such as concerts, fashion shows and exhibits. A separate area, “La Factorie,” will be focused on technology as well as collaboration between students and small businesses. The new facility at La Cité supports students, alumni and business partners by providing new space to create innovative ideas and products. The skills development and learning opportunities offered by the new facility supports entrepreneurship and contribute to the economic, social and cultural development of Francophone Ontarians. The ground-floor studio and meeting space is equipped with a 360-degree screen, retractable walls and capacity for up to 1,300 people.
