The project encompassed the renovation and restoration of the existing 30,000 square foot courthouse and 135,000 square feet of new build, which includes a three-storey addition, a basement, eight new courtrooms, an office space and one level of underground parking for judiciary officials. The building’s copper dome, slate roof and masonry are specific to the surrounding historical neighbourhood and incorporate historical elements that were preserved.
