EllisDon is proud to announce that three of our top executives have been named to SiteNews’ 2025 list of the Most Influential People in Canadian Construction! Congratulations to:

  • Kieran Hawe, President and Chief Executive Officer;
  • Wayne Ferguson, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Services; and
  • Dan Jolivet, Senior Vice President, Life Sciences & Technology

This recognition highlights individuals who are not just participating in the industry but actively shaping its future. These leaders have been instrumental in driving EllisDon’s boldest initiatives, setting new benchmarks for excellence, and redefining what’s possible in construction.

Kieran Hawe – From Innovation to Inclusion

As President and CEO of EllisDon, Hawe has led EllisDon through bold transformations. Under his leadership, the organization has evolved into a forward-thinking construction services provider, with innovation, inclusion, and purpose woven into its foundation. Hawe has championed emerging technologies through initiatives like the Accelerator, while also investing in the next generation of industry talent.

His strong support for employee-led groups and equity-driven initiatives underscores a deep commitment to inclusive diversity and belonging. As a member on Catalyst Canada’s Advisory Board, Kieran also brings a construction-focused lens to the organization, helping drive progress on gender equity and women’s leadership across the sector. While environmental responsibility remains part of the conversation, Hawe’s broader focus is on embedding social purpose and community impact into the company’s DNA—setting a powerful example for the industry. His leadership continues to shape not only EllisDon’s future, but the future of construction in Canada.

“This recognition is a reflection of the incredible work our teams do across every facet of the business,” said Hawe. “I’ve always believed that how we work—guided by integrity, inclusion, and purpose—is just as important as what we build. That’s thanks to the teams and people that are the driving force behind our success. I’m honoured to be included among such respected leaders in our field.”

Wayne Ferguson – From Blueprint to Beyond

Overseeing EllisDon’s Services division, Wayne Ferguson is driving a visionary transformation in how construction companies serve their clients. Through EllisDon’s Cradle-to-Grave model—a fully integrated approach that spans planning, construction, operations, and long-term asset management—Wayne is aligning specialized services under one strategic vision. Clients benefit from seamless, lifecycle-driven solutions that help future-proof their infrastructure, while EllisDon sets a new benchmark for what long-term partnership and accountability can look like in the built environment.

Under Wayne's leadership, EllisDon is also redefining catastrophe relief as a core capability—delivering full-spectrum response from emergency mobilization to long-term rebuilding, a model few in the industry can match. Beyond his operational leadership, Wayne serves on the board of the Canadian Construction Association, where he helps shape a more progressive and resilient industry, and is widely recognized for mentoring the next generation of construction professionals.

“I’m incredibly proud to lead a team where so many of our services were born from the entrepreneurial drive of our people—it's that spirit that powers our Cradle-to-Grave model and is shaping the future of construction,” said Wayne. “That level of continuity is rare in construction, and it’s something I’m incredibly proud to be part of. It allows us to deliver smarter, more resilient infrastructure, build lasting partnerships that go far beyond the project site and shape the future of Canadian construction.”

Dan Jolivet – From Projects to Possibility

Under Jolivet’s leadership, EllisDon has emerged as Canada’s premiere builder of data centres and mission-critical infrastructure. Recognizing the growing demand for secure, high-performance digital environments, Jolivet spearheaded the creation of EllisDon’s Life Sciences & Technology (LST) group. Positioned at the intersection of technology and construction, this group is helping shape the next generation of high-performance, future-ready facilities that power everything from digital transformation to global innovation. Through his unwavering dedication to entrepreneurial enthusiasm and a trailblazing perspective on what construction can achieve, Jolivet is building the next frontier for EllisDon—and shaping a future where the next generation of builders can thrive.

“LST was built to meet the future of mission-critical delivery head on,” said Jolivet. “What we’ve achieved comes down to bold thinking, deep expertise, and a team that’s always ready to move. We’re shaping what’s next through innovation and collaboration—powered by the people who make it happen every day. It’s incredibly exciting to be part of that journey.”

We congratulate Kieran, Wayne, and Dan on this well-earned recognition. Their leadership reflects EllisDon’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and industry leadership.
