EllisDon Facilities Services Recognized by Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

In recent years, Facilities Management (FM) has gained recognition for the key role it plays in determining project outcomes. The experience of the end users of buildings and facilities, as well as the success of the organizations operating them can be largely attributed to FM. This is something EllisDon understands and, through our cradle-to-grave approach, we offer world-class FM services that are perfectly aligned with the development, construction, and operation goals of our projects.

A recent case study, conducted by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), highlights EllisDon’s unique approach to FM. The study explores the team’s success on the 2015 Pan/Parapan Am Games Athletes’ Village in Toronto. RICS is internationally recognized and is the world’s leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. Receiving recognition and praise from the organization speaks volumes about EllisDon’s performance and value-add to the games.

The RICS study examines the challenges EllisDon Facilities Services faced and the unique solutions they developed to efficiently and effectively deliver 24/7 hard FM services to what was, in effect, a small village. During the games, EllisDon Facilities Services received a work order around every 30 minutes and carried out almost 5,000 jobs. This did not go unnoticed and the International Olympic Committee said they had gone way above and beyond the expected, achieving Olympic standard. The full case study can be found HERE
