EllisDon Named Construction Manager for Phase I of the Arts Commons Transformation

EllisDon has been selected to deliver the first phase of the Arts Commons Transformation.

Arts Commons opened in 1985 and is the largest performing arts centre in Western Canada. It includes five theatres and the Jack Singer Concert Hall and is home to six resident companies, including Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.

The first phase will involve the construction of the new Road House building on the north side of the existing Arts Commons facility (the Resident House). The Road House will bring modern, flexible performance and event venues to Arts Commons, including necessary front and back-of-house supporting amenities.
